Felicity Dick
Felicity Dick DL has served as Deputy Lieutenant of Oxfordshire since 2009. She is part of the Lieutenancy team focused on the Vale of White Horse and is the Lieutenancy’s link to Abingdon-on-Thames. Additionally, she keeps the Lieutenancy up to date on matters in children’s education and preschool provision.
Felicity works with organisations supporting children and young people. She has served as Ambassador for Parents and Children Together, the adoption and trauma support charity, and once ran their Sure Start Sutton Courtenay Family Centre. She is Patron of the Abingdon Carousel Family Centre and has been Trustee of Oxfordshire Youth. Additionally, Felicity helped to found Youth Challenge Oxfordshire (YoCO) and established the youth group ‘OX13’ in Appleton.
Felicity’s charity interests also extend to the broader community. She is President of the Oxfordshire branch of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE), and has served as Trustee of Earth Trust, which provides and champions natural green spaces. She is a supporter of the Oxford Playhouse Marquee, a community outreach project, having formerly served as Chair of the Development Committee. And she is a Director of the Oxfordshire Indie (Independent) Book Fair; Patron of Archway, which works to alleviate loneliness, and Patron of Oxford Poverty Action Trust.
Felicity is married to Richard, and they live in Appleton. Here, Felicity founded the environmental group ‘Green Appleton’ and founded and directed the Appleton Community Shop.
