Sally Scott
Sally Scott DL has served as Deputy Lieutenant for Oxfordshire since 2024. She is part of the Lieutenancy group focused on Banbury and is the Lieutenancy’s link to Shenington.
Sally formerly worked in communications and finished her career at Charles Barker PLc as a main board director.
Sally was High Sheriff of Oxfordshire (2023–24) and, over the years, has been an active supporter of charities focused on criminal justice. These include The Clink (@theclinkcharity), and Getting Court, a charity which offers pupils in Oxfordshire an insight into the work of the criminal justice system to prevent offending. She is also involved with work undertaken by Oxfordshire Sexual Abuse & Rape Crisis Centre (OSARC), working with women and girls who have suffered as victims of violence and rape.
Sally also supports and funds British Youth Opera, and the Chindwin Clinic, which is building a clinic in a remote part of Myanmar.
In Oxfordshire, she supports and funds Young Shakespeare, a project which involves the Royal Shakespeare Company bringing Shakespeare to schoolchildren from the County. In addition, she has been Deputy Chair of Governors of Shenington School.
Sally lives in Shenington with her husband Finlay. She is an enthusiastic fly fisher, event horse owner, gardener, and supporter of the arts.
