Robert Buckeldee

Robert Buckeldee DL has been a Deputy Lieutenant for Oxfordshire since 2007. He convenes the group of DLs focused on Cherwell and is the Lieutenancy’s link to Kidlington. He is a member of the Lieutenancy’s Honours and Awards Committee and works closely with Oxfordshire Community & Voluntary Action (OCVA) for the Lieutenancy.

Robert moved to Oxfordshire from London in 1988 to join Nielsen, the global market research firm. Since 2019, he has run his own business consultancy.  And within Oxfordshire, he has served as Chair of Oxfordshire Scouts (2000–15), and of Edukid (2006–16), which is a charity supporting children into education in Cambodia, Uganda, and Palestine. He is a Trustee of OCVA and of Cherwell Counselling.

Robert lives in Kidlington with his wife Jill. Here, he is Churchwarden at St Mary’s, Kidlington parish church.
