Ariel Lanada

Ariel Lanada DL has served as Deputy Lieutenant of Oxfordshire since 2022. He is part of the Lieutenancy team focused on Oxford East and holds the Lieutenancy’s general health brief for the County.

A nurse and educator, Ariel was born and brought-up in the Philippines.  He received his nursing degree from Central Philippine University as a government scholar. He was recruited to Oxford University Hospitals in 2002; he was the Hospital Trust’s Nursing Lead for Adult Diabetes and now Divisional Lead for Practice Development and Education. Ariel has an MSc in Nursing Education and recently completed his Doctor of Education from Oxford Brookes University, where he is Associate Lecturer. He is also Assistant Professor of Nursing at Central Philippine University.

Ariel is Chair of the Filipino Community of Oxfordshire and President of the Filipino Nurses Association UK.
